Marian Celebration 2021
The Marian Celebration for 2021 was a special celebration in so many ways. After an absence of 3 years due to the school project and pandemic restrictions, the Holy Eucharist returned to the heart of our community, the school chapel.
Each year group gathered in chapel separately, and Mrs Fleri Soler shared the significance of this Marian celebration and praying of the holy rosary, explaining this yearly tradition that goes back to 1984, when Sr Claire Darmanin, Headmistress, led the whole school community in a pilgrimage of thanks to a Marian shrine after the Church School troubles of that difficult period. Every year, in October, we thank Our Lady for her intercession, and celebrate our faith together.
Fr Matthew Pulis, School Chaplain, encouraged the girls to be open to prayer and reflection, and led each group in praying the rosary, that was coordinated by Ms Abigail Pace, Ms Mariella Catania and Ms Sarah Grech, with participating students from each form.
The prayerful atmosphere in chapel, with students, staff members and Sisters was a beautiful manifestation of our school ethos, and concluded with a special blessing by Fr Matthew.
Thank you to all the team for making this day so meaningful and memorable. We look forward to many more moments of prayer, connection and reflection in our busy school days.
