Ekoskola #litterless Campaign : Toiletries
During morning assembly on the 12th February, our Community Outreach Committee within EkoSkola presented another source of litter from our daily life as part of their outreach campaign to support this year’s #litterless campaign.
Amy Cassar from Senior 2A sourced information about the recycling of toiletries from the hospitality industry. A company, Clean Conscience works with hotels to make better use of toiletries. Extra and used single use toiletries are collected from hotels to be repurposed into new toiletries. Read more about this initiative on the following website:
So how can you get in on the action? Here’s how you can make better use of your toiletries.
1. Don’t replace toiletries until they’re finished, and don’t buy more than one product at a time if you don’t need it.
2. Buy a bamboo toothbrush instead of plastic ones
3. Swap makeup remover wipes for coconut oil and reusable cotton rounds
4. Swap bottles of body wash for bars of soap
5. Use bamboo toilet paper instead of bleached toilet paper
6. Use refillable dental lace instead of the traditional plastic flossers
7. Swap synthetic loofah (a bath sponge) for a natural bath sponge
