Earth Hour Day – Saturday 28th March

On this day, millions of people from all around the world unite and switch off non-essential lights for an hour.  This year we were encouraged to switch off lights between 20:30 and 21:30. Some of our students joined the rest of the world in this initiative.

One of our committed students explained her family’s initiative – “Last Saturday we stayed together watching television using candlelight.  Using the lighting in the room was not necessary because the light of the TV was sufficient.  We have decided that from now on we start switching off the lights while watching TV.”
