Young Reporters for the Environment

As is the tradition among many local and international Eko-Skola members, we too decided to join theĀ Young Reporters for the Environment Programme.

The main aim of these reporters is to carry out investigations on local Environmental issues and report them through investigative reporting and photo-journalism.

The litter-less campaign our school is participating in is a joint initiative. It aims to engage and educate young people on the issue of litter and encourage them to make positive changes. For this purpose we attended the launch of the campaign where we attended workshops on report writing. Most importantly the campaign was inaugurated by the release of two turtles, Bormla and El Tornado, following rehabilitation from injuries and damage sustained as a result of marine debris such as fishing hooks and lines.

Thus, we urge you fellow students to join us in our pledge to litter less and engage in making more environmentally friendly choices.
