The Senior III Live-In kicked off in school on Friday 20th April with 46 students descending on the school hall with enough luggage and provisions to last a week! Sleeping bags and bedding laid out, we set off to Mellieha for a moon-lit picnic at Ghadira Bay. It was a beautiful, still evening and the star-lit sky was the perfect backdrop for a two-hour trek to Armier – 7km of walking, singing and chatting by torch light. Returning to school close to 2am was part of the adventure, although exhaustion [and sleep!] only came later.
Following a healthy breakfast prepared and served in the school avenue, we headed to Valletta by ferry boat. Some free time and more photo opportunities helped us work up an appetite, and lunch was devoured by all. Back at school, calories were burnt up in an impromptu dance session and some ball games, before celebrating Marija’s 14th birthday together. One thing was certain – energy levels were constant, and it was great to see all the students enjoy themselves so much.
Parents joined us for evening mass celebrated by Fr Chris, and this was the perfect way to end our memorable time together. A huge thank you goes out to the teachers and LSAs who made this possible, and to all our girls who really made it worthwhile. The happy faces said it all!
