#litterless Weekly Outreach

Our school outreach during morning assembly of the 29th January focused on everyday items that we use and which unconsciously contribute to the waste and litter generated daily.

Amy Cassar, a student in Form 2 prepared a short presentation called “Wasteful Things” from an article sourced on website https://www.shelbizleee.com/blog published on the 3rd of January 2020.

She reminded the school community that items like microplastic glitters, confetti, single use aluminium pans and foil, cards and fake snow are all wasteful things that we do not really need to use but we should notice how they impact our environment.

The blog recommends that we alternatively use biodegradable glitters make from plant cellulose or buy second hand pots and pans or sending an e mail instead of a card  …..little things that will make a difference to our environment. Make a change by thinking about the wasteful things you use!
