Dress Up as a Book Character Day

With Book Week Celebrations in full swing, all the school was abuzz with book characters on Wednesday 25th April.  Staff and students pulled out all the stops and got creative with their costumes – in fact, it was quite difficult for the judges to select the winning entries! Whole-class themes had been planned carefully and kept secret, so it was really fun to watch the parades down the school avenue during break.

It was evident that a lot of effort went into preparations, including teachers and LSEs, who made sure to join in the fun.  Three cheers to the Language Teachers who organised the event, coordinated so well by Librarian Ms Stephanie Gatt.  We hope this will become a yearly event.

Well done to all – participants and winners alike.  Miryana, Emma and Hayley won the individual categories and a book voucher.  A special mention must go to Senior 4 A, overall winners in the class competition, who together with their Class Teacher Ms Ruth Calleja, Deputy Class Teacher Ms Christine Magri and Ms Mireille Pace Ross gave us a perfect rendition of all the characters in ‘Alice in Wonderland’.

We hope you enjoy the photos – credits to Ms Dimech Ghirxi.
